System Console. The installation procedures should only be performed by a qualified technician using approved materials in accordance with national, state and local wiring codes. The V1400X-DVC-3 System Console is a central control station capable of controlling camera stations connected to Vicon’s NOVA CPU-based matrix control systems, digital multiplexers and video cassette recorders (VCRs).
• A NOVA/AURORA/VCR system does not require the multi-system selector, as control system selection is not relevant (there is only one control system). You may use Vicon’s proprietary AurorANet 2-wire RS-485 protocol in NOVA/AURORA/VCR systems. Two control (or “pointing”) devices are available for use with the system console, the V1400X-JST Joystick Keypad and the V1400X-DJT Desk-Top Joystick.
If you chose any other mode and will use multiplexers in your system, you must choose a protocol (A2000 or A99). "A2000 Protocol" refers to Vicon's proprietary 2-wire RS-485 AurorANet protocol. You may connect AurorANet devices directly to the system console. Examples of typical devices employing AurorANet are the AurorA2000 multiplexer, this version of the system console and the A2K-KBD Remote Keyboard.
