SOUND ADVICE The Hegel CDP4A High End CD-player is easy to connect and operate and requires no prior technical knowledge. - Page 6 AUDIO OUTPUT LOW PASS FILTER The audio low pass filter in the Hegel CDP4A is factory set for a slow roll of to preserve a highest possible accuracy of timing information without excessive ringing in the time domain. In normal use Hegel recommend to use the output filter in the slow roll off factory setting mode.
- Page 7 USE & PLACEMENT OF CD-PLAYER The HEGEL CDP4A should be placed on a flat, hard surface for proper isolation against vibrations. The CD-player must NEVER be placed on top of an integrated amplifier or power amplifier. The heat from the amplifier will make the laser pick-up system work worse than normal, and also the life-time of the laser unit will be reduced when heated up by an amplifier standing directly below the CD- player.
