COOKING TIPS

Foods which overcooks easily should be removed from the wok pan as soon as cooking has been
completed.
Try to dry meat, fish, poultry etc, before adding to hot oil to prevent unnecessary splattering.
Do not fry too much food at a time in order to prevent the oil temperature from dropping too
dramatically.

CARE AND CLEANING

Following a few general tips can prolong the life of your wok:
Always wash the wok and cover as soon as possible after each use. Washing the appliance
immediately after each use helps minimize stains caused by the build-up of food or grease residues.
Never leave food in the wok overnight.
DO NOT pour cold water into a hot pan.
Do not use metal utensils when cooking as these will scratch the non-stick cooking surface. Only use
wooden or plastic utensils to stir or serve food. A spatula has been provided with the unit.
Do not leave plastic cooking utensils in contact with the hot wok surface while cooking.
Always switch the wok off before cleaning and unplug from the power points. Remove the
temperature control probe from the socket once the wok has cooled down.
Always wash in hot soapy water. Remove stubborn spots with a plastic washing pad or nylon
washing brush.
Thermal probe
If cleaning is necessary, wipe over the probe with a slight damp cloth.
Store the control probe carefully. Do not knock or drop it as this can damage the probe. If damage is
suspected, call the customer service.
Always ensure that the probe is completely dry before inserting it back into the socket.
NEVER IMMERSE THE CONTROL PROBE IN ANY LIQUIDS.
Non-stick Wok Surface
Cooking in a non-stick wok minimizes the need for oil as food does not stick to the surface and
cleaning is easier. Any discolouration that may occur will only detract from the appearance of the
wok and not affect the cooking performance.
