AFOLUX AFL-317A Series Panel PC 2.4 External Peripheral Interface Connectors The following section describes the external peripheral interface connectors on the rear panel of the subsystem. 2.4.1 Serial Port Connectors The AFL-317A has four serial ports. Three of these ports (COM1, COM5 and COM4) are RS-232 only ports.
AFOLUX AFL-317A Series Panel PC 2.4.2 LAN Connectivity The AFL-317A has one GbE connector on the rear panel. Figure 2-5: RJ-45 Ethernet Connector The PCIe lane from the Intel® ICH7 chipset of the AFL-317A is interfaced to the Realtek RTL8111CP PCIe gigabit Ethernet (GbE) controller. The RTL8111CP controller is then connected directly to the RJ-45 connectors on the rear panel and provides external GbE connectivity.
AFOLUX AFL-317A Series Panel PC 2.4.3 External USB Connectors There are eight USB 2.0 connectors on the rear panel of the AFL-317A. All eight USB 2.0 connectors are interfaced directly to the USB controllers on the ICH7 Southbridge. These USB connectors are fully compliant with USB specification Revision 2.0 and USB specification Revision 1.1 and can be interfaced to both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 compliant devices.
AFOLUX AFL-317A Series Panel PC 2.5 AFOLUX AFL-317A Front Side 2.5.1 Monitor A 17” SXGA LCD screen is installed on the front of the AFOLUX AFL-317A. The installed monitor has a pixel resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. The screen is shown in Figure 2-8 below.

Both these power modes are described below. 2.8.1.1 ATX Power Mode (Default) With the ATX mode selected, the AFOLUX AFL-317A panel PC goes in a standby mode when it is turned off.
2.8.2 Power Supply The system is shipped with a 100 V to 240 V IEI AC power supply unit (PSU) that has a maximum power output of 252 W. The PSU has additional 12 V and 24 V DC output connectors.

AFOLUX AFL-317A Series Panel PC 2.9 Wireless Connections The following section describes the wireless modules on the circuit. 2.9.1 USB Bluetooth Module An integrated Bluetooth module is connected to ICH7 chipset through the USB bus. The AFL-317A Bluetooth module enables wireless communications between the AFL-317A and various peripheral devices through a Bluetooth network.

AFOLUX AFL-317A Series Panel PC 4.10 AT/ATX Mode Selection AT and ATX power modes can both be used on the AFOLUX AFL-317A flat panel PC. The selection is made through an AT/ATX switch on the aluminum chassis inside the plastic back cover (Figure 4-21).
