CONNECTING OTHER iPod
MODELS (INC SHUFFLE)
If you own an iPod Shuffle or a model that is not in the
compatibility list, you can still connect the sound output to
the AUX socket on the back panel.
Headphone socket
To AUX
•
Using a 3.5mm stereo jack to jack cable (supplied),
connect one end of the cable to the headphone socket
of the iPod, and the other end to the AUX socket on the
back panel.
•
To listen to your iPod, follow the instructions on the
previous page to select and play from the AUX input.
NOTE:- The volume control of the iPod must be turned up
when playing through AUX.
PLAYING AN iPod
To dock your iPod:
•
If the docking bay is closed, press the front gently to
release the catch and open the docking bay.
•
Check that the correct iPod adaptor is fitted to the docking
bay.
•
Locate the iPod on the Docking Connector and press it
gently home.
•
Switch on the power.
iPod mode will select automatically and the iPod will start to
play.
Playing the iPod
You can use the iPod controls to change tracks and select
from the iPod menus when the iPod is docked.
CHARGING AN iPod
Your iPod will begin to charge from the Docking Station as
soon as it is docked. It will continue to charge if FM radio or
AUX sources are playing.
NOTE:- The iPod will stop charging if the player is set to
Standby.

AUX INPUT
The AUX input may be used to connect sound sources with
a Line or Headphone analogue output to play through your
player. These may include -
•
iPod models that cannot be docked to the unit
•
MP3 players without USB plug connection
•
CD walkman players
•
Tape walkman players
•
Personal computers or laptops
Connecting a source to the AUX input
•
Using the 3.5mm jack cable (supplied), connect the
cable between the headphone or LINE/AUX output of
the personal audio player and the AUX jack on the back
panel.
Playing from the source
M button to select
•
With the cable connected, press the
AUX.
AUX will be shown on the display.
•
Set your personal audio player/computer to PLAY.
•
Set the listening volume to the level you want with the
Volume +/- buttons.
If there is no sound or if the volume level is not loud enough,
you may need to increase the volume setting on your personal
audio player/computer.
