Internet. Call transfer and telephoning with other telephones in the house is not possible at all. With the Auerswald Box an ATA can be connected to a free subscriber port of the PBX system. The Auerswald Box connects the Internet with all internal subscribers of the PBX and enables them the use of the Internet telephony. - Page 3 Outgoing Internet Calls with the Auerswald Box To start a call via the Internet, the Auerswald Box can be called by each internal subscriber of the PBX. As soon as the Auerswald Box establishes the connection to the ATA (dial tone), the telephone number to be dialed in the Internet can be entered by DTMF.
- Page 4 In case of the operation mode D the caller can also dial any internal or external telephone number. But this is only allowed by the PBX within the first seconds (2 seconds for Auerswald PBX systems) after establishing the connection with the ATA. If the caller does nothing, the PBX will dial a pre-configured internal or external telephone number.
- Page 5 Configuration of Operation Mode C for Internet Telephony For the operation mode C no settings are necessary in the Auerswald Box. If the Auerswald Box does not have the default factory settings concerning call acception (immediate) and destination number (empty), you can reset it as described in the chapter “Reset to Default Factory Settings”...
- Page 6 Important Information about Internet Telephony with the Auerswald Box Please note that in the operation modes C and D via the Auerswald Box a modification of the settings of the PBX are possible, too. Do not enable any programming authorization for the extension of the Auerswald Box or protect the PBX by passwords to prevent unauthorized interventions.
- Page 7 To start the Call Through feature, the Auerswald Box is called via the special configured external tele- phone number by e.g. a mobile phone. As soon as the Auerswald Box is connected to the other extension (dial tone), the requested internal or external telephone number (with exchange line access number) is dialed via DTMF.
- Page 8 If a Call Through to internal telephones should still be possible, do not enter the exchange line access digits into the Auerswald Box. Then the caller has to dial the exchange line access digits and to enter the password before dialing an external telephone number (e.g. „90 password 0 05306 9200700“).
- Page 9 Consult the corresponding manuals of the other devices during installation. The range of Auerswald Box and PBX may be up to 600 m depending on the type of PBX and the cable used. The Auerswald Box has not been certified as an analog public exchange line port for PBX systems.
- Page 10 If an incomplete dialing via the Auerswald Box is finished by hanging up after the dialing of the exchange line access number (e.g. „0“), the Auerswald Box cannot be reached for the next 2 minutes.
