This guide is made to help you and explain in detail on how to fit your Rapid Fire Kit into your own controller. We recommend only installing into a new controller but this isn’t totally necessary, but the guide uses one of the newest type of controller (Dual Shock 3 3 generation). Soldering to the PCB board inside the PS3 can be difficult and we recommend you only attempt this if you are experienced in using a soldering iron. Too successfully remove gently ease it off by lifting and pressing back till your clear both buttons, and the base should lift away not catching on anything. Place on the side and position the controller flat again, shown in fig 1f + g. Note: If the R2 or L2 buttons fall off don’t worry, they can be put back on later keep them in a safe place as you carry on the guide. ...

Note: use the table on page 14 to see where you need to solder your wires; the following is for the 3 generation Dual Shock Controller. Your mod kit may be using Yellow instead of black. Holding in place the wires need to be positioned just as in the image; add small amounts of hot glue to the sides, as shown in fig 6a. Note: be careful not to burn the edges of your controller with the tip of the hot glue gun. Hold the button in place while glue sets, test the button to make sure it works, make sure it is centred and doesn’t catch on the hole.
