I have a 520i 2004 BMW. Recently I replaced the car key battery. Now the remote doesn't work. When I open the car with the key, the alarm goes off. I would like to remove the siren fuse. I want to know what is the siren fuse number and if it is ok to remove it.

The alarm siren fuse for a BMW 5 Series (including the 2004 BMW 520i) is located in the trunk fuse box. The exact fuse number is not explicitly mentioned in the provided context, but fuse number 30 is referenced as a potential fuse related to alarms in some models.

As for safety, the context warns that removing fuses incorrectly can damage electronic modules, but it does not specifically state whether removing the alarm siren fuse is safe. It is recommended to follow proper procedures when handling fuses to avoid damage.
