    X99 Extreme4 2.3 Installation of Memory Modules (DIMM) his motherboard provides eight 284-pin DDR4 (Double Data Rate 4) DIMM slots, and supports Quad Channel Memory Technology. 1. For quad channel coniguration, you always need to install identical (the same brand, speed, size and chip-type) DDR4 DIMM pairs.

Setting wrong values in this section may cause the system to malfunction.

Active Processor Cores Select the number of cores to enable in each processor package. No-Execute Memory Protection Processors with No-Execution Memory Protection Technology may prevent certain classes of malicious bufer overlow attacks.
