Exhaust flue ducting
Plan and check the ducting route before starting. Duct size must not smaller then the hood's exhaust outlet.

Keep the length of duct as short as possible, and also keep the number of bends to a minimum.

Rigid duct is better then flexible one, if flexible duct to be used, use aluminum flexible duct.
•

Use roof silicone, ducting tape or cable ties for joining and securing.
Pay attention to waterproofing on roof flashing. A qualified person is recommended for roof duct installation.

Operation
Turn on the hood 1 minute before cooking to create an air movement in the kitchen. Do not open too many windows
around kitchen especially if windy outside, because the entered-wind will spreads the grease around. After cooking,
let the fans stay on rotation for 2 minutes to draw out the remaining cooking odors.
Cleaning & Maintenance-
Self-cleaning
This hood is a filter-free, self-clean unit. Cleaning frequency depends on the cooking styles, generally once a week.
Add detergent with warm water (50~60
speed motion will wash away the grease and deposit them in the grease collectors. Empty the collectors regularly.
The best time for spray-clean is just after cooking as the grease colleted in the hood still warm and fresh, it is easy
to clean and wash out at this time. Spray 20 to 30 puffs every day for maximum cleanness.
Clean the internal parts
Depending on the frequency of self-cleaning and the cooking styles, this type of cleaning may need to carry out
once a year. Turn off power supply first, unscrew the bottom panel of the hood, take down the grease collecting
disc, remove the plastic gray cover, unscrew the blade-lock screw, take down the blade set and wash all parts with
warm soapy water, rinse and dry them, then refit to their places.
General maintenance
Particular care must be taken with sharp edges on the rangehood.

In high humidity and coastal environments, cleaning should be carried out frequently.

Ensure the rangehood is switched off before cleaning.
Wipe the rangehood surfaces with mild detergent or soapy water using a sponge or soft cloth. Do not use

oven cleaners, caustic solutions or abrasive materials.
