TED is designed so that the SETUP MODE need only be accessed upon initial setup, or when the Utility has a rate change, or when the user wants to modify any of the opera- tional information –... - Page 13 There are more than 4,000 electric utilities across the US and Canada; most tariff schedules will be accommodated by TED, however, in the event your utility uses a tariff calculation that is not found during this setup procedure, please use one that most nearly resembles your utility’s tariff schedule.

Once the MODE key is pressed, Setup will be complete and TED will automatically return to the Primary Display screen. SUMMER/WINTER RATES Some Utilities have Summer/Winter rate programs.

Depressing the MODE Key will advance from one alarm to the next. Typical System Voltage for residential electrical services in North America is 120/240V Single Phase 3 Wire 60 Hz. Some small businesses will use this voltage as well. This is nominal voltage and will fluctuate ± 10%. TED is designed to work on volt- ages from 100/200V to 130/260V. - Page 26 TED is not designed to transmit all this way. It may work, but for consistent, reliable operation you need to insure that they are both on the same phase.
