ROTECT
When the veto subwoofer operates under regular conditions, the
blue indicator is on. If an overload is recognised, the indicator
turns red.
L
– Volume Control (1)
EVEL
With the L
control the veto volume is adjusted. Adjust it in
EVEL
such a way that the subwoofer and the other speakers of the
system are equally loud and the bass harmoniously blends with
the sound picture.
The volume control normally is in the central position. However,
should the room acoustics require this, the volume can be either
increased or decreased.
The veto subwoofer should be well audible without dominating
the music. A too loud subwoofer causes sound distortions and
roar.
Often there are significant bass volume differences depending on
the CD or DVD. Please check the bass volume with different sound
sources before making the final decision.
If later on the veto subwoofer is placed in a different position in
the room, a new adjustment may be necessary.
L
– Adjustment of the Cut-off Frequency (5)
OWPASS
L
control provides an additional opportunity to change
OWPASS
sound characteristics of the veto subwoofer. L
defines the highest frequency that the subwoofer should
reproduce.
The veto subwoofer is optimised for a certain frequency range and
consequently is capable of reproducing such deep bass, mid and
high frequencies being the effective range of the other speakers in
the system.
First, leave the control in its normal position and check the system
with the music tracks containing powerful low-frequency
impulses. At first, change the control position with a wide step.
This way you can determine position for the best sounding effect.
In case higher cut-off frequency in interaction with other speakers
provides better result, you can do fine adjustment by choosing a
position between mid and maximum value. The cut-off frequency
bottom border shall be set the same way to achieve maximum
sound quality.
