- Page 10 Attaching the Mountable External Infrared Receiver The Advanced 3-Way Switcher features an external IR receiver, allowing you to hide it from view, but still maintain full remote control. Place the switcher in the desired location. Select a location with convenient access to an AC outlet.

Switching HDMI Components with a Universal Remote Control The switcher has a “learn” mode, which allows the unit to automatically learn your remote control.
