    Operation Starting Motor Depress the (red) starter button and hold it in. See Fig. 5-2. NOTE: Starting the mower’s motor also engages the blade. WARNING: Avoid accidental starting. Make sure you are in the operating position behind the mower when using it. To avoid serious injury, the operator and unit should be in a stable position while starting.

Such objects could be accidentally thrown by the mower in any direction and cause serious personal injury to the operator and others.
