  • Page 5 VOLUME control Use the VOLUME -/+ buttons to adjust the volume level. MUTE function Press MUTE button on the remote control to shut off the sound. Press it again or use the VOLUME +/- buttons to resume the sound. Connecting headphones Plug in headphones (not supplied) to the phones jack at the front of the unit for private listening. The speaker output will be shut off automatically. RADIO OPERATION Listen to the radio 1. Press the button to turn on the unit.
  • Page 6 Repeat/Random playback During playback, press the PLAY MODE button repeatedly to select the playback mode according to the following table: File Playback mode Repeat One (“REPEAT” flashes), Repeat All (“REPEAT” is displayed), Random (“MIX” is displayed). MP3/WMA Repeat One (“REPEAT” flashes), Repeat Folder (“REPEAT” is displayed files and “FOLDER” flashes), Repeat All (“REPEAT” is displayed), Random (“MIX” is displayed). Programmed playback You can program up to 20 folders or tracks. 1. In STOP mode, press the PROG RAM/CLOCK-ADJ button and the message “P01 PROGRAM” will flash. 2. Press the / buttons to select the track number. 3. Press the PROG RAM/CLOCK-ADJ button to confirm. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 above to program other tracks.
  • Page 7 MAINTENANCE Care and maintenance To clean the unit, unplug it and wipe off dust and stains with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap and water solution only. Do not use benzene, thinner or similar chemicals to clean the unit. Cleaning CD discs If the music skips or does not play, the disc may need cleaning. Before playback, wipe the disc from the center out with a clean cloth. After use, store the disc in its case. If at any time in the future you should need to dispose of this product, please note that waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste.
