Entering Information

When you store a name in the Phone Book or
schedule events in the calendar, text is entered
into the phone using the keypad. There are several
different text entry modes available to enter this
information.
They are:
• T9
• Uppercase
• Lowercase
• Number
T9 Word® Entry
This mode allows you to enter words with fewer
key strokes. Each key has several letters or a
number associated with it when it is pressed. T9
automatically compares the keystrokes with a
linguistic database to determine the correct word.
For example, if you press 4, 3, 5, 5, 6, the word
"Hello" is displayed. If the desired word is not
displayed, you can press "0" to scroll through a list
of possible matches.
To delete a character, press the "Clear" key located
in the middle of your phone. To delete the entire
screen, press and hold the "Clear" key.
To make capital letters, you can use the "Shift" key.
There are two states of capitalization, they are:
Lowercase and Cap Lock. Press the Shift key to
cycle bewteen the two modes.
Note: To exit without saving at anytime, press the
"End" key.
