This transmitter operates the Traxxas DR-1 or QR-1 helicopters only. This transmitter is not meant for, and will not operate, other Traxxas models or non-
Traxxas models. Carefully read and follow all instructions in this and any accompanying materials.
This instruction sheet does not cover transmitter adjustments, flight controls, or the operation of your model. Refer to your model's owner's manual

Battery Installation
Four AAA alkaline batteries are required. A small Phillips head screwdriver is required to open the battery
compartment. The battery compartment is marked with + and – symbols to indicate correct battery placement. For
maximum performance and life, use genuine Traxxas Power Cell alkaline batteries.
Binding the transmitter to your model
The transmitter will automatically bind (electronically link) to your model when the transmitter and model are
powered on. If your transmitter and model do not bind as described below, consult the troubleshooting section of
your helicopter owner's manual.
1. Always turn the transmitter on first. Its red LED will blink, indicating it is in binding mode.
2. Connect the battery to turn on your model (if no on/off switch is present). Its LED(s) will blink, indicating it is
in binding mode.
3. The transmitter will sound a tone and its LED will light solid when binding is complete.
4. The model's LED(s) will glow solid when it is bound and ready for flight.

Traxxas Warranty Coverage
This transmitter and its components are only covered against
manufacturer's defects in materials, workmanship, or assembly when new
(before being used). If you have a warranty claim, please contact Traxxas
Technical Support. Warranty coverage does not cover replacement of parts
and components damaged by abuse, neglect, improper or unreasonable
use, crash damage, water or excessive moisture, chemical damage,
improper or infrequent maintenance, accident, unauthorized alteration
or modification. The end user is responsible for the cost of shipping or
returning a defective transmitter from you to us.
Limitations of Liability
This product is warranted against defects in original material and
workmanship only. No term warranty is offered with this product. Traxxas
makes no other warranties expressed or implied. Traxxas shall not be liable
for any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out
of the assembly, installation, or use of their products or any accessory or
chemical required to use their products. By the act of operating/using the
product, the user accepts all resulting liability. In no case shall Traxxas'
liability exceed the actual purchase price paid for the product. Traxxas
reserves the right to modify warranty provisions without notice. All warranty
