3. Turn ignition key to start position and
release once engine has started.
4. After engine starts, set throttle lever to
fast position.
IMPORTANT: Let engine warm up several
seconds to several minutes depending on
outside temperature.
NOTE: When engine is running, PTO belt is
turning electric clutch on mower deck. The
electric clutch WILL NOT engage mower
blades until PTO switch is engaged.
Shutting Off Engine
1. Stop unit.
2. Disengage PTO.
3. Set throttle lever to slow.
4. Set parking brake.
5. Turn ignition switch to off position and
remove ignition key.

OPERATING MOWER

1. Start engine.
2. Set throttle lever fast.
3. Engage PTO to start mower blades.
4. Use forward and reverse pedal to move
unit.
WARNING: If the unit is moved into
reverse with the PTO (mower blade)
engaged, the PTO (mower blade)
MUST shut off. If this system does
not function as described, do not
operate unit until repairs are made.
NOTE: To re-engage PTO (mower blade)
after traveling in reverse, place the unit in
nuetral or start moving the unit forward. Then,
pull up on the PTO switch to engage the PTO
(mower blade).
5. Disengage PTO to stop mower blades.
MOVING THE UNIT MANUALY
WARNING: DO NOT disengage or
bypass transmission and coast
downhill.
Disengage transmission bypass lever (1) to
drive unit and engage transmission bypass
lever (2) to push unit manually (figure 5).
