OPERATION
SWITCH ACTION
WARNING: Before pluging into power source, make sure
the trigger switch can be pressed down smoothly and will
return to its "OFF" position when the trigger is released.
The drill is equipped with a "Lock-On" button which is
convenient when continuous drilling for extended periods
of time is required.
• Press down trigger switch to start work, and release to stop work.
• To have continuous operation, press down the trigger switch (1) and push the "Lock-on"
button (2) located on the side of the handle, then release the trigger.
• The drill will continue running after the release of the "Lock-on" button. To stop working,
release the trigger switch.
• When "Lock-on" feature engaged during use and the drill becomes disconnected from the
power supply, disengage the "Lock-on" feature immediately.
REVERSIBLE ROTATING DIRECTION
The rotating direction of the drill is controlled by a lever
located above the trigger.
• With the drill held in normal operating position, direction
of rotation lever should be positioned to the right of the
trigger for forward drilling operation.
• Direction of rotation is in reverse when the lever is to the left of the trigger.
NOTE: The drill will not operate unless the rotation lever is pushed fully to the left or right.
Stop drill before changing rotation!
SPEED CONTROL
The screwdriver can be adjusted by using speed control
selector (1).
• Hold the tool in normal operation, and turn the variable
speed control selector clockwise to increase the speed and torque. Turn
counterclockwise to decrease the speed and torque.
NOTE: If the variable speed control selector is fully turned in counterclockwise direction
(Zero Setting), your screwdriver may not run.
• To lock the switch on at a given speed, depress the trigger, push in and hold the
"Lock-on" button then release the trigger. Next, adjust the variable speed control
selector until the desired speed is reached.
• When you desire not to use the variable speed control selector turn it in the fully
clockwise direction. This will allow the speed of the drill to be fully controlled by the
amount of trigger depression.
OPERATION & MAINTENANCE
DEPTH STOP
With the depth stop adjustment collar, the depth of drive of
the screw head into the material can be adjusted with each
1/4 turn resulting in a 1/64th" change in the depth of drive.
If a depth adjustment is needed, slide the depth stop
adjustment collar forward to the stop, set screwing depth by
rotating the collar. To increase depth of drive, turn the
adjustement collar so that the bit extends further from the end
of the depth stop. To decrease depth of drive, turn the adjustement collar so that the bit
is closer to the end of the depth stop. Once the depth is set, slide the depth stop
adjustment collar back to its original position and make sure notches engage and lock to
housing.
SCREWDRIVER CLUTCH
This screwdriver has a positive clutch, this means that even when you press the trigger,
the bit will not turn. While holding the trigger, the bit will begin to turn (and therefore drive
a screw) only after some pressure is applied to the tip. Pushing the tip activates the clutch.
SCREWDRIVER BIT CHANGE
To change the screwdriver bit, pull the depth stop adjustment collar forward to the stop
and turn counterclockwise to decrease depth of drive which allows you greater access to
the screwdriver bit. The preselected depth of drive gets altered as a result. Change the
screwdriver bit and then slide the depth stop adjustment collar back to its original position.
DRIVING DRYWALL SCREWS
Insert driver bit into collet, set the desired rotation. Start the tool by pressing the trigger
(driver bit will not turn) and place a drywall screw on bit.
CAUTION: Do not apply pressure on screw while doing this!
Place end of drywall screw in desired location and remove fingers. Apply a forward
pressure to drive the screw until the depth stop rests on the top of the working surface.
TO REMOVE SCREWS
Install correct bit in collet, set the rotation in reverse, place screw on bit and apply forward
pressure to remove screw.
MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT: To assure product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, repairs, maintenance and
adjustments should be performed by authorized service centers or other qualified service
organizations, always using identical replacement parts listed in this instruction manual.
1. Air vents of the tool should be cleaned regularly to avoid overheating of the motor which
is caused by the blocking of the air vents.
2. DON'T clean this tool with water, as no liquid is allowed in the tool body. Clean the tool
only with a dry clean cloth.
3. DON'T allow petroleum based products to come into contact with the plastic parts of
the tool, as they contain chemicals that can damage or destroy the plastic parts.
