GENERAL INFORMATION

Congratulations on your purchase of the Sierra Stove. W e
are confident that your new stove will provide you with years
of safe, com fortable and efficient heating.
Your Sierra Stove is a free-standing/m obile hom e approved
wood fueled heating appliance tested by Om ni-Test
Laboratories, Inc. ICBO TL-130 & Canadian test ULC S627.
Safety testing is according to UL' 1482 and UM 84. HUD
standards.
This m anual describes the installation and operation of the
Sierra EF2100 and AFI wood heaters.
EMISSION CERTIFICATION STATUS
The EF2100 m odel m eets the U.S. Environm ental Protection
Agency's em ission lim its for wood heaters sold between July
1, 1990 and July 1, 1992. Under specific test conditions this
heater has been shown to deliver heat at rates ranging from
11,000 to 42,900 Btu/hr capable of heating approxim ately
2,100-2,600 square feet. Actual heat output and space
heated is determ ined by: clim ate, hom e construction, species
and m oisture content of wood.
These m odels also com ply with Oregon Departm ent of
Environmental Quality's requirem ents for wood heaters which
are sold after July 1, 1988.
The EF2100 and AFI com ply with the Colorado Departm ent
of Health requirem ents for wood heaters which are sold after
July 1, 1988.
Please read this entire m anual before you install and use
your new room heater. Failure to follow instructions m ay
result in property dam age, bodily injury, or even death.
Save these instructions for future reference.

If this appliance is not properly installed, a house fire m ay
result. For your safety, follow the installation instructions.
Check with local building or fire officials about restrictions and
installation inspection requirem ents in your area.
Installation into m obile hom es require outside com bustion air
and special hearth attachm ents. For Mobile H om es,
Com bustion Air Kit P/N 11069 is available from your dealer.
It is best to have a professional install your Sierra Stove. If
you prefer to install it yourself (see Installation Instructions),
be sure to obtain the proper perm its. Have the local building
officials inspect the stove and chim ney pipe for safety and
code com pliance after the installation is
com plete.
DO NOT CONNECT THIS UNIT TO A CHIM NEY FLUE
SERVING ANOTHER APPLIANCE.

    A m inim um draft of .06wc is required for proper operation. Your Sierra Stove m ust not be connected to a chim ney serving another appliance. Multiple appliances on a single flue m ay cause flue gases to be drawn into the house through an unused opening, or in the form of poor draft and rapid creosote accum ulation.

    1. Measure ceiling height, plus attic, plus three feet above roof and two feet above highest point of roof that is within ten feet of the chim ney. Deduct height of the Sierra Stove and this will tell you if you need extra pipe in addition to what is supplied in chim ney m anufacturers m obile hom e kit.
