radio will not turn on

The Sirius XM Radio SXSD2 may not turn on because SiriusXM radios remember the last power state separately for the Boom Box and the car dock. If the radio was turned off using its power button while in the SXSD2, it will remain off when the SXSD2 is powered on again. To resolve this, try turning on the SXSD2 and then pressing the radio’s power button. If that does not work, undock the radio, remove the dock adapter plate from the SXSD2, then redock the radio and try turning it on again.

If the Sirius XM Radio SXSD2 does not turn on after replacing the battery, try the following steps:

1. Check Power Button: Ensure the power button on the radio is pressed after turning on the SXSD2, as the radio may remember its last power state separately from the car dock.
2. Redock the Radio: Remove the radio from the dock, take out the dock adapter plate, and then reseat the radio in the SXSD2.
3. Confirm Correct Battery Installation: Ensure the new battery is installed with the correct orientation (+ side facing up).
4. Verify Power Source: Make sure the SXSD2 is properly plugged into a working power outlet.

If these steps do not work, there may be an issue with the battery, power adapter, or the radio itself.
