    Using This Guide Congratulations on your selection of the Minerva based interactive TV systems. This User Guide is intended to assist in learning how to use your new set top box (STB) user interface. As this software is available on multiple set top boxes with differing remote controls, please consider this document as a general guideline.
  • Page 3: Programming The Remote Control To Work With The Tv

    Programming the Remote Control to work with the TV In order for the remote to transmit the correct signals to control the TV, the remote must first be programmed with the 3-digit code corresponding to the make and model of TV in use.
  • Page 4 Installation Your picture will be delivered to the home via telephone line. The Cameron Communications technician installing the service will install an ADLS modem capable of delivering television service on up to 4 TV’s as well as High-Speed DSL Internet Service.
  • Page 6: Turning On The Set Top Box And Tv

    Turning on the Set Top Box and TV When the set top box (STB) is first powered on, there will be several messages on the TV. These are normal messages from the STB start-up process. (See below)

    Login Enabling Login Open the Setting Menu (See the “Opening the Setting Menu” section.) Use the ARROW button to highlight the Require Login box. Press the OK/SELECT button to check the box Use the ARROW buttons to highlight the Check icon. Press the OK/SELECT button.

    Press the GUIDE button to cycle through the three-channel guide option The Channel Guide Tabs are: All—Shows scheduled for all televisions channels offered by Cameron Communications Subscribed – Shows scheduled for only those channels subscribed to by the customer. Favorites – Shows schedules for only those channels selected as favorites.

    Favorites Open Favorites Menu Press the MENU button on the remote. Press the ARROW button to highlight the Favorites icon. Press the OK/SELECT button. Creating a New Favorites List Open the Favorites Menu.
  • Page 11 Use the ARROW button to highlight the Create icon. Press the OK/SELECT button. Use the ARROW buttons to highlight the Name filed for this Favorites List. Press the CL/CLEAR button to delete any unwanted characters. Use the NUMBER buttons to enter each letter. Use the ARROW buttons on the remote to scroll to and highlight the channels to add to favorites.

    Search Feature Press the MENU button Use the ARROW button to highlight the SEARCH icon. Press the OK/SELECT button. When the Search screen appears, press the OK button to bring up the On-screen Keypad.

    Use the ARROW keys to highlight the letter or number to add to the search text. Press the OK/SELECT button to add that letter to the Search Text. When finished adding text to the Search box, use the ARROW buttons, to highlight the Done icon.

    Changing Autotune Setting Open the Settings Menu. (See the “Opening the Settings Menu” section.) Use the ARROW buttons to highlight he Non-PPV/Autotune selection box. Press the OK/SELECT button. Use the ARROW buttons to select a time delay before Autotune switches the channel.

    Enter a numerical password with the NUMBER buttons on the remote or press the OK/SELECT button to bring up the keypad. NOTE: If you have telephone service through Cameron Communications, your password will be your 7-digit telephone number. If you do not have telephone service with Cameron Communications, your password will be the last 7-digits of your account number.

    Parental Controls Setting Up Parental Control Open the Setting Menu Use the ARROW buttons to highlight the Parental Control Change icon on the lower right corner of the screen Press the OK/SELECT button. Adjust the setting as you see fit for the viewers. Press the OK/SELECT button when finished.

    Caller ID Enable Caller ID Open the Setting Menu Use the ARROW buttons to highlight the Enable Caller ID box. Press the OK/SELECT button to check the box. Use the ARROW buttons to highlight the Ok icon. Press the OK/SELECT button. While watching a program, if there is a phone call, the caller’s name and phone number (if available) are displayed for a brief time on the screen.

    Channel Blocking NOTE: Blocked channels do not show up in the Electronic Programming Guide (EPG). Parental Controls do not affect this setting. The only way to see a channel in the EPG is to remove it from the Channel Blocking list or to disable Channel Blocking. Blocking Channels Open the Settings Menu.

    Press the OK/SELECT button to check the box. To move to the next screen of channel options, use the ARROW buttons to highlight the Next Page Arrow icon. Press the OK/SELECT button When finished, use the ARROW buttons to highlight the Done icon. Press the OK/SELECT button.
