    Turn on the TV. Set the video sources selector on your TV to match the connection from your MG-800HD. For example, if you used HDMI, set the TV to use “HDMI” Input 1. Turn on MG-800HD. The LED on the front panel of the MG-800HD lights up to show that it is powered on.

If your MG-800HD doesn’t come with Wi-Fi antenna, you can have a Wi-Fi N USB dongle and hook it at USB host to enable the Wi-Fi funciton.

    MediaGate Digital Media Sever (DMS) on the PC that contains the files you want to share. The MG-800HD can connect to more than one Media Server at a time and scan all the files you want to share in the same local network.

  • Page 35: Chapter 3 Media Server

    Server software (MediaGate DMS) which users can use on their option. UPnP Server The MG-800HD will automatically detect all available UPnP AV compliant content severs on boot up and list them on “My Media” page. No additional setup is necessary on the MG-800HD itself. MediaGate Digital Media Server The MG-800HD comes with Digital Media Server software that runs in a computer on your home network.

    DMA Setup The DMA Setup has two major functions. One is to help you to add/delete your favorite internet radio/tv lists on iMedia. The other is to browse for each local HDD contents on the network and to copy/delete its files by using the MediaGate DMS Software installed on your PC.

    Chapter 4 : Play Media through other Protocol The MG-800HD provides other option to access media files in the network instead of Using UPnP server or MediaGate DMS. NFS protocol The NFS protocol allows the MG-800HD to access media files on NAS (Network Attached Storage) without the using of other UPnP server or MediaGate DMS server.

    Samba Client Protocol The Samba Client allows the MG-800HD to access media files from samba shares on PCs on the network. As long as the network is linked, there is no additional set up to enable this feature. Following steps show how to access media through the Samba Client Protocol.

    Follow below steps to access the radio stations: 1. Make sure your network setting is correct and be able to access internet. 2. Select “media” from main menu or press “media” button on the remote control. 3. Select “Live 365” and press “OK” button on remote control.

    Add/Delete the Internet Radio/TV Station Lists You can manager the iMedia list at the MG-800HD onscreen menu or through your computer by operating MediaGate DMS software. Through MG-800HD Onscreen Menu 1) Gets into “My Video”. 2) Press the MENU key on the remote control, the Menu list will pop up.

    7. You can edit/delete list from the browser via your PC now. Go on step 3~5 if you want to manage other MG-800HD iMedia lists on the network. BitTorrent Downloader You have to install local HDD before enabling this feature. (You can make reference to Chapter 8 in how to install HDD).

    1. Go to “iMedia” and highlight “BitTorrent” 2. Have your .torrent seed file ready at USB storage if it is the first time to add new torrent files. Insert your USB storage to the MG-800HD, Enter into “BitTorrent” Select “Add New Torrent” and press “OK”...
  • Page 85 5.Wait few seconds, and the torrent files selected will appear on the menu. (Press “Back” on the remote to return to BitTorrent menu). 6. As long as the MG-800HD is connected with network, the files will keep downloading automatically until completed.
  • Page 86 7. The .torrent files will be stored in local HDD by default. After media files download are completed, go to “My Media” and enter “HDD Disk” to browse your HDD Disk content. 8. The complete files will be stored at the “bt” folder which is the default path.

    Note: If your files are not able to play, please check if they are media files and among the formats which are supported by the MG-800HD. BitTorrent Management The BitTorrent Control Menu offers you the ability to start, stop, set priority and remove the files.

    1. Go to “Set Up Main Menu”, Select “Version”, and choose ‘Firmware upgrade” 2. Choose “Internet Upgrade”, the system will automatically search available firmware code. 3.
