Release Water Pressure Before Winding: Please remove any non-RoboReel nozzles (if you are using your own) from the end of the hose before • retracting the hose, and make sure that the unit does not wind in while water is still flowing. Doing so will ensure that no pressure builds up in the hose during retraction, which will increase the longevity of your reel.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to modify or service the hose reel or any of its components for which Great Stuff™, Inc (GSI) has not provided servicing instructions. Doing so voids the warranty.

CAUTION: If the hose is cut or damaged use only a GSI-supplied replacement hose. Do not splice the hose because it may prevent the Hose Reel from retracting properly. Splicing the hose voids the Hose Reel warranty. 2.4 Remote Control RoboReel includes one Remote Control. See Section 4 for instructions. 2.5 Batteries The following batteries are included with the Hose Reel: Main Battery (12-volt).

3.1 Charge and Install Main Battery The Main Battery should arrive with the RoboReel fully charged. However, it is recommended that you charge the Battery for a minimum of 6 hours prior to first using the Hose Reel.
Figure 4b 3.2 Install Water Valve Battery Pack Unscrew the Battery Pack cap to remove the Battery Pack (Figure 5). Insert the 4 AA batteries into Battery Pack. Align the Battery Pack so that the 2 interior contacts are closest (up) to the hose connector. (See Figure 5) Using care, insert the Battery Pack into the Water Valve.
3.3 How to Attach Tow Rope and Engage Brakes CAUTION: Do not move the Hose Reel by pulling the hose itself or by pulling the Hose Cone (1 in Figure 6) on the unit. Before moving the unit, attach the Tow Rope to the notches located on the inside of either the front or rear set of legs (See Figure 6).

Extract the hose by pulling it toward the area needing water. As the hose begins to be extracted, it becomes easier to pull. This is the forward assist feature. The RoboReel® will also rotate 360º allowing you to water large areas without having to move the unit.

Repeat steps 5 and 6 until no water drains from the bottom of the Hose Reel. Remove the Main Battery and plug it into the Battery Charger. Keep it plugged in to the charger until you are ready to use the RoboReel again. Store the Hose Reel and accessories.
If the Remote Control or the Water Valve needs to be replaced, only that new device must be re-synchronized with the unit in order for the RoboReel to function correctly.
