The crackling sound and surging lights in the MTG Smart Touch System when switching from TV to radio could be caused by a few possible issues:
1. Electrical Interference or Poor Connection – Loose or faulty wiring connections in the system could cause electrical noise and inconsistent power delivery, leading to crackling sounds and surging lights.
2. Power Supply Fluctuations – Switching between TV and radio could create a sudden power draw change, affecting the system’s voltage stability and causing light surges.
3. Faulty Dimmer or Lighting Control Module – If the system includes dimmable lighting, a malfunctioning dimmer could cause lighting fluctuations.
4. IR Remote or Control System Conflict – If the optional IR remote learning module is installed, it could be sending unintended commands or interfering with the transition between media sources.
Checking the wiring, power supply stability, and control module settings may help diagnose and resolve the issue.
