    Ocularis Base. The second is the Ocularis-X Client. This client is used to view the video delivered by Ocularis-X and can be used on any number of devices or platforms.
  • Page 5 Internet Explorer When using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 9, the hardware acceleration must be turned off if you want to run Ocularis-X Client in windowed mode (as opposed to full screen/maximized). To disable graphics acceleration in IE9: Open Internet Explorer.

    PPAPI plug-in Logging In to Ocularis-X Prior to accessing Ocularis-X, you are presented with a log in screen. Enter your login information as follows: User Name A user account is required to gain access to system video. This account is your Ocularis account and may be used to access video via Ocularis-X Client or Ocularis Client.

    Ocularis Installation & Licensing Guide Contact Information Ocularis-X Client Interface When you successfully log in to Ocularis-X for the first time, the screen presented is a blank slate: Application Controls Menu Bar View Area Figure 1 Ocularis-X Client Window In the top part of the screen there is a menu bar on the left and application controls in the upper right portion of the page.

    The upper right portion of the Menu Bar contains functions known as ‘Application Controls’. These functions are defined as follows: Control Graphic/Icon Log off - click this icon to log Ocularis-X. Logging off will stop the current session. Help – click this icon to open the Ocualris- X Client documentation.

    (up to 30 FPS). Views in Ocularis-X are configured by the user and are stored on the computer which is used to create the view. When you configure a view of cameras, the browser on the local machine saves the configuration information for your user account.

    -X V ODIFY AN CULARIS In the Ocularis-X Client, select the Views menu and choose Configure Views. Click the Edit Views tab. Existing views are listed. Select the view you wish to modify and then click Edit View.

    Viewing Live Video Ocularis-X video is displayed through the use of a view. Each user creates his or her own views. Once views are created, they may be accessed by the user each time they use Ocularis-X. The last view displayed will be presented to the user upon the next log in.

On the left of the Image Bar is the name of the camera as it is defined in Ocularis Base.

Digital Zoom You may use digital zoom on any camera image. Draw a rectangle over the zoom area by drawing a diagonal line. Release the mouse to perform the zoom.

    Controls appears along with the date and timestamp of the displayed video. Browse mode in Ocularis-X displays all cameras synchronously. Actions performed with the playback controls apply to all visible video panes. For instance, playing video from 6:00 a.m. will result in all panes playing video from 6:00 a.m.
