powering the unit
the unit can be powered by handcrank or solar power .
handcrank power
1 .
lift the haNdCraNK .
2 .
turn the haNdCraNK either clockwise or counterclockwise for 3-5 minutes
to activate the internal battery for initial use, or when the unit has not been
used for more than 60 days . the red POWer iNdiCatOr illuminates
when the haNdCraNK is turning .
3 .
For subsequent charges, turn the haNdCraNK for one minute to produce:
• 70 minutes of continuous light for three leds .
• 16-20 minutes of continuous radio usage (subject to volume) .
• 3-5 minutes of talk time .
4 . repeat Step 3 as light, radio or phone is needed .
solar power
Place product in average sunlight for approximately 10-12 hours . the red POWer
iNdiCatOr illuminates when charging .
