    PROPER CARE Break-in Period: • As with most audio components, the REFERENCE ONE requires a “break-in” period. During this period the internal components will stabilize and reach their normal operating parameters. There are no special procedures required for this break-in period, just listening to your favorite music will accomplish this task all by itself.

    CONNECTION STEPS 1. Due to the heavy weight of the units, we strongly recommend that the Reference One should be placed on the ground. 2. Turn off any associated components prior to connecting the Reference One. This minimizes the chance of momentary electrical surges disturbing your system.
  • Page 7 The 300B tubes are inserted into sockets designated as V5 to V12. Pay extra attention to the tube pins and socket holes for these tubes. Identify the two larger pins and align the pins with the two larger holes on the socket.

    5. Turn on the multimeter. Select the section for measuring up to 20V DC. 6. Start from the 300B - V5, insert the positive test lead into the RED bias test point and the negative test lead into the WHITE bias test point.
