Cartridge Plate,
Paper Cartridge and O

Foam Pre-Cleaner.
c. Wash Foam Pre·Cieaner
in detergent
and water.
d. Rinse,
squeeze
(rather than twist) and allow
to dry
t
horoughly.

Coat with three tablespoons
of S.A.E. 30
Engine
Oil,
squeeze
to distribute
evenly,
and
squeeze
out excess.
f.
Check Paper Cartridge.
Replace if excessively dirty.
g. Reassemble
Paper Cartridge
and re-position
on
Tractor.
NOTE: NEVER
RUN
ENGINE WITH
AIR CLEANER
RE·
MOVED.

AIR
SCREEN
Air
Screen (Fig. 22) must
all
ow
free-flow
of
air to
prevent
Engine
damage
from
overheating. Clean with
a wire brush
,
compressed air or water
pressure
to
remove
dirt, chaff,
stubborn
dried
gum and fibe rs.

The best
time to change Engine
Oi
l
is
at
the end
of a
days
operation when all
dirt
and foreign material
is
suspended
in
the
hot Oil. Refer to page 7.

fibers.

Screen and secure screws.

).
Using a Grease Gun, give
each
G rease Fitting
two
shots
of
Extreme
Pressure
Lubricating
Grease Amdex No.
1
or equivalent
(available through your
Se
ars Service Center)
