FireWire Features, Advantages and Benefits FireWire is much easier to use – it is hot-pluggable, allowing you to plug a device into the CPU and not have to reboot the machine. The device drivers are loaded automatically, there are no bulky cables, ter- minators or SCSI ID switches to set.
