3 Installation and Charging of the Battery Pack 1) Open the battery compartment by sliding the cover down. 2) Plug the Battery Pack connector into the Handset battery socket. Place the battery pack and wires in the compartment. 3) Close the battery compartment. 4) Mount the belt clip and one of the provided face panels on the Handset.

4 Handset Registration Procedure A Handset, which has not been registered, will display: NOT REGISTERED PLACE IN BASE Plug the power supply into a live electrical outlet and the DC connector into the bottom of the Base. Place the Handset (with battery pack plugged in) into the Base cradle.
5 Display Messages & Audio Alert 5.1 Display Message The handset provides a number of status messages in the display either in the idle state or during conversation. The following status messages are shown in the idle display. When the handset is out of range, an "out of service" message is shown in line one. If the phone line is in use (by another telephone connected to the same line), “EXT IN USE” is displayed. It is still possible to go off-hook during this condition. If one handset is engaged in an external call, the message is presented in line two of the other handset’s display.

6.6 Making Internal Calls In order to carry out internal calls, more than one handset must be registered on the same base station. 1) Press the key. 2) Press the number of the required handset or ‘*’ key to page all handsets. 1...4 * Press the UP/DOWN key to select the desired handset(s) in the menu, then press PHONE or PROG.

TALK 1:35:50 EXTERNAL CALL H 6.8 Call Transfer/Forward An incoming call can be transferred or forwarded to the other handset during an ongoing call. The difference is that, when the call is transferred, the first handset waits for the other to answer before ending the connection, but when the call is forwarded, the first handset ends its connection immediately.

The waiting call can be answered by pressing FLASH. FLASH clears the second line in the display. If the waiting call is not answered, the display presentation will return back to normal ongoing call presentation after several seconds. For more convenient use, call waiting deluxe is also available.

3. A number in the right hand side of the third line shows the call log number - 1 is the latest received call. The maximum length of the number shown in the third line is 16 characters. If the number is longer, it is left truncated.

9 Digital Answering Machine Operation 9.1 General Operation 1) In standby mode the following features can be selected by pressing the MENU key until the desired item is chosen. 9.3 Setting the Clock 1) The clock has to be set after power up. 2) To set the clock press Menu key until “CL” is displayed on the LED. The current time (e.g. Saturday, ten eleven AM) will be announced and the LED will display in sequence Day, then --, then Hour, then --, then Minute.
9.4.1 Set ‘Announce Only’ ON/OFF 1) The answering machine can be set to “Announce Only” so that it can only answer calls but cannot record any message. 2) Press “Menu” key until “Ao” is displayed on the LED, and it will announce “announce only is on or off”.

3) Press REC/memo key, the unit will start recording announce “now recording” followed by a beep. The 2 digits LED display will indicate elapsed recording time in seconds, counting from “0 ” to “ 59 ”. 4) Press Stop key to stop recording with a beep and the recorded announcement will be played automatically.

9.5.3 To Review/ Delete your Announcement 1) Press Menu key until the LED displays “A1/A2” with voice prompt “announcement one / two”. 2) Press any Mailbox key and the current record announcement can be heard. 3) Press Delete key during playing announcement will delete the message being playing, and then the answering machine will use the default announcement until you record a new one.
If an incoming call is received while recording a MEMO, the recording will be stopped to allow the unit to ring. 9.6 Reviewing Messages The OL2410 has three voice mailboxes.(Mailbox 1, Mailbox2, Mailbox3) each with its own LED. If there is a new message the LED will blink.

5) After playing a message, the unit announces the day and time it was received. While the message plays, the LED display shows the number of the message. 6) After playing the last message in a mailbox, the unit announces “End of messages.”...
1) At standby mode, press and hold Delete key until a short beep is heard followed by the announcement “Please select a mailbox”. 2) Then select the mailbox ‘1or 2 or 3’ from which you want messages to be deleted. It will be announced “all old messages are deleted”, and the answering machine will return to standby mode.
A beep can be heard to validate the setting. 6) The default is Off 9.10 Remote Access You can access many features of the OL2410 remotely from a touch-tone phone. 1) When connected enter your remote access code (default 0000) during the announcement.
