SURGE PROTECTOR FOR ISDN/NETWORK, TELECOM AND
ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT CONNECTED TO 230V
Function:
1. The surge protector protects electronic equipment from voltage surges that occasionally occur on the mains. This extends
the life of your electronic equipment. If a surge protector is installed, there is a better chance that your equipment will still be
functional after a thunderstorm. Please note that no surge protector can give complete protection. If there is a close or direct
lightning strike, a surge protector will not be able to protect your equipment.
2. The surge protector combines protection for both electric equipment that is connected by a standard plug and equipment
which is connected to ISDN/Broadband and a telephone line.
3. The surge protector does not require any manual re-set when it has tripped.
4. An red indication lamp is lit when the surge protector passes current to the outlet. A green indication lamp shows that the
surge protector is working. When the green indication lamp goes, out the surge protector is worn out and you must immedi-
ately install a new surge protector to retain protection.
Connection:
1. Electric equipment: Plug the surge protector into the mains outlet, and plug the electric equipment to be protected into the
surge protector.
2. Telephone/Fax/Modem: Connect your telephone line to the TEL/FAX/MODEM input on the surge protector. Then connect your
telephone/fax equipment to the TEL/FAX/MODEM output on the surge protector.

3. ISDN/Broadband: Connect the network cable to the ISDN/NETWORK input on the surge protector. Then connect your modem/
computer equipment to the ISDN/NETWORK output on the surge protector.

NOTE! Connect the surge protector to an earthed outlet.
NOTE! No surge protector can give protection from a close or direct lightning strike.

Funktion:
1. Överspänningsskyddet skyddar elektriska produkter mot överspänning som ibland sprids i elnätet. Det förlänger livslängden
för dina elektriska apparater. Vid montering av överspänningsskydd är chansen större att dina apparater är hela efter ett
åskväder. Observera att inget överspänningsskydd ger fullständigt skydd. Vid nära eller direkt nedslag kan ej överspännings-
skyddet skydda dina apparater.
2. Överspänningsskyddet kombinerar skydd för både elutrustning som är ansluten med stickpropp och apparater som är anslutna
med ISDN/Bredband och telefonanslutning.
3. Överspänningsskyddet kräver ingen manuell återställning när det har löst ut.
4. En röd kontrollampa lyser när överspänningsskyddet släpper fram ström till uttaget. En grön kontrollampa indikerar att
överspänningsskyddet fungerar. När den gröna lampan slocknar så är skyddet förbrukat och ni måste omgående byta överspän-
ningsskyddet för att bibehålla skydd.
Anslutning:
1. Elektrisk utrustning: Anslut överspänningsskyddet till ett eluttag och den elektriska utrustningen som skall skyddas till över-
spänningsskyddet.
2. Telefone/Fax/Modem: Anslut er telefonledning till överspänningsskyddets TEL/FAX/MODEM-ingång. Anslut sedan er telefon-
utrustning till överspänningsskyddets TEL/FAX/MODEM-utgång..

3. ISDN/Bredband: Anslut nätverkskabeln till överspänningsskyddets ISDN/NETWORK-ingång. Anlsut sedan ert modem/
datautrustning till överspänningsskyddets ISDN/NETWORK-utgång .

OBS! Anslut överspänningsskyddet till ett jordat uttag.
OBS! Inget överspänningsskydd klarar ett nära eller direkt åsknedslag.
