The initial start up screen changes depending on available media sources. For more information on the Home screen see Using Your ClearStream To set up or configure all of the many settings in the ClearStream CS615 you will need to use the SETTINGS menu. From the settings menu you can access anyone of the SETTINGS areas.
Do not set this the same as your PC’s computer name. If you have no reason to change it then it is best left as the default “CS615”. It may also help to check your ‘Computer Name’. If it is an automatically generated name like “COMPUTER-018709”...
Always wait for the player to fully complete the firmware upgrade before restarting the player. If you are using the HDMI video output, the screen may go blank during the update. Using Your ClearStream Player UPnP Media Servers By using your Ziova ClearStream in conjunction with a UPnP media server, you can deliver more media content to your ClearStream than the player can play on its own. Depending on the UPnP server software you use, you can deliver additional streaming audio and video, transcode video formats that the ClearStream cannot natively support into a format it can play and gain access to additional functionality.
ClearStream will be available on the Network under its device name. The default device name is ‘CS615’ – See Network Setup for more information. If you browse your local network workgroup you will see the CS615 listed with a share called “Media” which is the Hard Disk in the ClearStream.
