Initial Configuration The DA1004 On-Q 4 Port Router/Switch is typically configured in one of two ways; (1) From a portable PC connected through one of the Local Switch Ports on the Router/Switch Module in the enclosure, or (2) From a PC in one of the rooms of the house, connected through an outlet in the room to the enclosure where it is patched to (or directly connected to) one of the Local Switch Ports (see Figure 3). -

V. Advanced Configuration If you used the Wizard to configure the On-Q DA1004 4 Port Router/Switch, you do NOT need to configure anything else for you to start using the Internet. Advanced configuration (using any of the selections to the right of the Wizard) allows you to configure the router to meet your unique network’s needs such as: Special Applications, Port Mapping, DMZ,... - Page 15 (default is “admin”), password (deafualt is “admin”) and the idle time. - Page 16 To upgrade the firmware of your router, you need to download the firmware file from the On-Q/Legrand website to your local hard disk, and enter that file name and path in the appropriate field on this page. You can also use the Browse button to find the firmware file on your PC.
