    Safety Information n Read this owner’s manual for your Navigation System carefully before using the system. It contains instructions about how to use the system in a safe and effective manner. Mazda assumes no responsibility for any problems resulting from failure to observe the instructions given in this manual.
  • Page 7 This navigation system is designed exclusively for use in automobiles. This navigation system should only be installed in an automobile. Do not install it in a ship, aircraft, or any other vehicles except an automobile. Do not use it detached from the vehicle.

    The inside of the vehicle can become very hot or cold when it is parked for extended periods in direct sunlight or in cold places with the engine turned off. The navigation system may not operate normally under such circumstances. Turn off the navigation system until the inside of the vehicle has cooled down or warmed up.

    Set Clock The current time is set using this function. Since time notification is provided by a GPS satellite. select Before Steps MENU Open the [SET CLOCK] screen The time is adjusted manually. Auto Time Zone: The time is automatically adjusted by time zone.

    Navigation Setup lYou can alter the map display conditions, the route guidance conditions and show the system information. Stop your vehicle before the following operations. Do not change the settings and destination locations while driving. Minimize the time spent viewing the monitor screen and listening to the voice guidance while driving. Warning Operating the system will distract the driver from looking ahead of the vehicle and may cause an accident.

    Bluetooth unit, you can listen to music or audio recorded on these audio devices from the vehicle’s speakers. After pairing, operate the audio system’s control panel or the navigation system to play/stop the music or audio. Always pair audio devices to the Bluetooth audio system while the vehicle is stopped.

If your Bluetooth audio device corresponds only to A2DP, but not AVRCP, you cannot operate it using the control panel of the vehicle’s audio or navigation systems. In this case, the Bluetooth audio device can be operated by controlling the device itself, the same as when a portable audio system without the Bluetooth communication function is connected to the AUX terminal.
