    Keep this manual for future reference. Each Face Audio® amplifi er is inspected before leaving the factory and should arrive dam- age-free. However, in the event damage did occur in transit notify the shipping company and point-of-purchase immediately.

    Turning the gain controls all the way down before power- ing-up the amplifi er is recommended to prevent speaker damage. Face Audio® will not be responsible for damaged speakers. If you are unsure about the capacity of your speakers please consult your speaker manufacturer.

    Mounting: All Face Audio® amplifi ers will mount in a standard 19” rack, 4 front panel mounting holes are provided for this. (Figure A.) Your amplifi er uses a forced-air cooling system to maintain a low operating temperature.     Face Audio® will not be responsible for damaged speakers. Limiter: Face Audio® amplifi ers come with built in limiters to prevent inadvertent damage to it or equipment attached to it by less experienced users.

    Connections Input Connections: Face Audio® amplifi ers come with built-in XLR inputs, depending on the model. XLR Connectors: The amplifi er’s built-in XLR connector pinout confi guration is as follows: 1. Pin 1 is ground (gnd). 2. Pin 2 is positive (+).

    Connections Stereo While the mode selector switch is in Stereo mode the amplifi er is a binaural ampli- fi er. Both input and output channels amplify independent of each other. To use stereo mode follow these steps: 1. Turn off the amplifi er. 2.

    Connections Parallel While the mode selector switch is in the Parallel position the input connectors for both channels are wired directly in parallel (Ch. A input will drive Ch. A & B output). The output volumes can still be controlled individually by adjusting the front dials as in normal operation.

    Connections Bridge Mono Both amplifi er channels can be bridged together to make a very powerful single channel monaural amplifi er. When the mode switch is set to the “bridge” position the built in power amplifi ers operate in “push-pull” mode. The doubled output voltage from channel A and B appears on the positive (red) terminals on both channels.
