YA701 - INTRODUCTION
Dear Customer,
We congratulate you on the purchase of your YA701. You now own a high-end product which has
gained a reputation for exceptional quality and durability throughout the world and particularly
among specialists and hi-fi enthusiasts.
YBA DESIGN products have been manufactured with the same care as all other products made by

This user manual has been designed to give you all the information you need to install, connect,
setup and use your device. Safety guidelines are set out on the first pages. For your own safety

    1. Connect the digital audio output of your source components to one of the 8 digital inputs of your YA701 (D1 to D7 on your YA701 and D8 on your [Y]box). 2. Connect the stereo analog output of your source to one of the 5 analog inputs of your YA701 (A1 to A5).

    Note : Note : One device can be controlled by each of the 2 trigger outputs (T1 and T2) of your YA701. Do not connect more than one device to each trigger output. Your YA701 can also be controlled by the trigger input (T IN). Trigger outputs can be allocated so you can decide which source will activate each of your trigger outputs (see p26 and p36).

    You need to use a 3 pins stereo 3,5 mm mini jack with the following pin out (TSOP1738) : Please read carefully the section related to IR IN set up to tell your YA701 whether the IR IN will control zone 1 or zone 2.

The configure speaker tutorial will ask you to tell your YA701 how many and what type of speakers you have in your system. This menu also allows you to activate or deactivate the subwoofer output as well as zone 2 functions.

    Choose if you want to set up your system as a multi-room system so Zone 2 functions of your YA701 will be set to ON. If you use your YA701 in a single room, choose NO and all Zone 2 functions will be set to OFF.

    This chapter outlines the MAIN and the USER menu on the front panel as well as the TUNER screen and introduces you to daily use of your YA701 with the remote control. It also outlines how you can use your YA701 to listen to music in two different rooms (zone 2 functions).
