    Connecting - Rear panel Important: voltage between 3V and 12V DC will bring the transport out of standby and it will enter standby when the trigger voltage is 0V DC. Before making any connections, switch off the mains power to all compo- nents in your system.

    Operation - Front panel Power Button Front Panel Buttons The power button switches the unit on and off. Use these buttons to control your éloquence CD Transport. They are also used to navigate the éloquence menu system and make any changes to the LED Indicator settings.

    Remote Control The éloquence CD Transport comes supplied with an infrared remote control. Standby The STANDBY key switches the transport between ON and STANDBY. -/-- Pressing this key allows the selection of two-digit tracks.     The Menu System The menu system can be used to configure the éloquence transport to customise aspects of its operation to suit your requirements, to operate in a particular type of installation, or to view important functional data. Home Screen The home screen provides easy access to the basic functions of the transport: play, pause, next, previ- ous, stop and eject.

    • CONTRAST The CONTRAST screen allows you to adjust the contrast of the display. The available settings range from 0, minimum contrast, to a maximum of 10. The factory default contrast setting is 5. • TIMEOUT The TIMEOUT menu allows you to select a time after which the display will turn off. NOTE: If the display timeout is enabled, the display will turn on when user input is detected then automati- cally turn off after the timeout duration has elapsed.

    The Menu System continued Coax Out The COAX OUT menu allows you to select either BNC or RCA as the active coaxial digital output. This has no bearing on the optical output, which is always active. The factory default coaxial digital output is BNC. Playback Random The RANDOM menu allows you to shuffle the playback order of the tracks on the disc.

    Presets The PRESETS menu allows you to save and restore user settings for your éloquence CD Transport. Defaults The DEFAULTS menu allows you to reset the system configuration to the factory default settings. NOTE: Resetting the factory default settings causes any customisation of the transport configuration to be lost.

    Troubleshooting In general, refer any service problems to your Perreaux dealer. Before contacting your dealer, however, check to see if the problem is listed here. If it is, try the suggested solutions. If none of these solves the problem, contact your Perreaux dealer.
