EXTREMO DAC will offer you many years of musically satisfying enjoyment. Please take a few moments to read the remainder of this Operating Manual. A thorough understanding of the operational features will allow you to gain the maximum performance and ease of use for which this DAC was designed. -

Installation Locate the Extremo DAC as close as possible to its final installation point. Allow access to the rear panel for making connections. Front & Rear Panel Function Controls Before attempting any system interconnection, please familiarize yourself with the front and rear panel controls of the Extremo DAC. -

If a PCM input signal is present the input led glows blue and the frequency led will show the signal frequency. When the Extremo DAC enter in operating mode the I2S input is checked for the signal presence; if the CD-Transport is connected with I2S cable, Extremo automatically select this input. - Page 8 Use this output to connect the DAC to the input of a preamplifier or integrated amplifier using interconnect provided with XLR connectors (not shipped with the equipment). The Extremo DAC is equipped with hi-end connectors. To take full advantage of the Extremo sonic quality, we recommend using high-quality interconnection cables; ask your North Star Design dealer.

There are no user-serviceable parts inside the Extremo DAC. All service of this product must be referred to a qualified North Star Design dealer or distributor.
