RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION • For best results, your battery unit should be charged in a location where the temperature is more than 50°F (10°C) but less than 100°F (38°C). Do not store outside or in vehicles. • Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, battery pack leakage may occur.
The purpose of safety symbols is to attract your attention to possible dangers. The safety symbols, and their explanations, deserve your careful attention and understanding. The safety warnings do not by themselves eliminate any danger. The instructions or warnings they give are not substitutes for proper accident prevention measures.
If the charger does not charge your battery pack under normal circum- stances, return both the battery pack and charger assembly to your nearest Authorized Homelite Ser- vice Center for electrical check. Page 8 LIGHT (LED)
TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK • Place the battery pack in the grass shear. Align raised rib on battery pack with groove in grass shear battery port. See Figure 3 . • Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack snap in place and that battery pack is secured in the grass shear before beginning operation.
