Using the Card Reader:

1.
Make sure the UltraBlock FCR had been set to the proper mode (i.e. Read
Only or Read Write) before connecting the device to your computer.
2.
Connect the UltraBlock FCR to the USB connection on your computer and
allow the system to detect the device.
3.
Insert the fl ash media card into the corresponding slot in the reader,
For MS and MS Pro insert the card with the metal contacts facing
down and the notch facing to the left.
For MMC, SD, and SM insert the card with the metal contacts fac-
ing down and the notch on the right side.
For xD insert the card with the metal contacts facing up.
For Compact Flash (CF) or Micro Drives, insert the card the holes
facing toward the UltraBlock FCR.
4.
Gently push the card all the way in.
5.
To remove the card, select add remove hardware from the windows task bar,
select the device and remove. You may then remove the card.

Changing the Read Only - Read Write functionality:

The UltraBlock FCR can work either as a write blocker (Read Only mode) or as
a read writable device. This function is set by a switch on the side of the Ultra-
Block.
NOTE: In order to change the functionality, the device must be
disconnected from the computer. Changing the switch while
the UltraBlock FCR is connected to the computer WILL NOT
change its functionality.
When the card is in Read Only mode the front red LED will be lit. The green LED
is the device access light and will light when the system is communicating with
the media.
