    Important Notes When making connections be sure to: Turn off all the components in the system before hooking up any components, including loudspeakers. Turn off all components in the system before changing any of the connections to the system. It is also recommended that you: Turn the volume control of the amplifier all the way down before the amplifier is turned on or off.

    At Rotel, we are proud to do our part. We have reduced the lead content in our electronics by using special ROHS solder, while our new Class D (not digital) amplifiers are up to five times more efficient than our legacy designs and still deliver power and performance.

  • Page 13: Getting Started

    Fill out and send in the owner’s registration card packed with the RDD-06. Also be sure to keep the original sales receipt. It is your best record of the date of purchase, which you will need in the event warranty service is ever required.

    Do not modify the supplied adaptor. Do not use an extension cord. If you are going to be away from home for an extended period of time, it is a sensible precaution to unplug the Rotel unit from the wall socket.

    The front USB can also be connected to a bluetooth dongle (supplied) To use the Bluetooth feature, insert the dongle into the front USB and turn on your Bluetooth device. Look for “Rotel Bluetooth” and connect. You can now start to stream music from your device to the RDD-06.(See Figure 3) Note: Bluetooth connection is normally automatic, but depending on the brand and make of the device it may prompt you to enter a password.

    Power Indicator Is Not Lit No main power to the RDD-06. Check AC power connections at the unit and the DC connection on the rear. Make sure the AC socket is not connected to a switched outlet that is turned OFF.
