The BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker is a Bluetooth enabled device with an integrated speakerphone that you can use to answer incoming calls or make calls using voice dialing, as well as listen to music from your BlackBerry device. You can also use the audio out port of the BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker to play audio files saved on your BlackBerry device on your stereo system or headset, or to listen to your calls.
Pair and connect your speaker with your BlackBerry device Before you can use your BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker, you need to pair it with your BlackBerry device. When you turn on the speaker for the first time, it's already in pairing mode.
User Guide and Safety Information Getting started Using the speaker Pairing tasks Action Play/Pause/Call function button Turn on pairing mode Press and hold for 5 seconds, until you hear 3 short beeps. Cancel pairing mode Press 1 time. Clear pairing list Press and hold for 8 seconds while sliding the power switch to the On position, until you hear two long beeps.
Press Play/Pause/Call function 2 times. Charge the speaker Your BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker comes partially charged and ready for use. When the battery power level is low, the red LED will quickly flash on and off. 1. Connect the small end of the micro-USB cable or a car charger to the charging port on the speaker.
Make sure that your speaker is turned on and is connected to your device. I hear static noise when I use my speaker The BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker is designed to be used within 10 meters (33 feet) of your BlackBerry device, without any large objects in between.

Important safety information Description Before you use your BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker, it is important that you read the compliance information and the guidelines for the safe use of your speaker that are found in this guide. Use only Research In Motion approved chargers. Use of chargers that have not been approved by RIM might present a risk of fire or explosion, which could cause serious harm, death, or property loss.
The BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker contains a non-removable lithium-polymer battery. Charge the battery with only the approved BlackBerry charging accessories. Do not attempt to remove the battery. Do not dispose of the speaker in a fire, as the battery might explode. Dispose of the speaker in accordance with the laws and regulations in your area governing disposal of lithium-polymer cell types.
WARNING: Driving a vehicle requires your full attention to road conditions, weather, and vehicular traffic. It is important to set up your BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker prior to driving. Using this hands-free accessory may cause you to be distracted and may put you, your passengers, and occupants of other vehicles at risk of suffering bodily injury, death, and/or loss of property.
Operating and storage temperatures Place the BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker or BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker accessories away from heat sources, such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. If you are not going to use the speaker for more than 2 weeks, turn off the power.
Dangerous areas The BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker is not an intrinsically safe device and is not suitable for use in hazardous environments, where such devices are required, including without limitation, in presence of gas fumes, explosive dust situations, operation of nuclear facilities, aircraft navigation or communication services, air traffic control, and life support or weapons systems.
