- Page 7 To focus your spotting scope on an object, begin by setting the Eyepiece Zoom to the lowest magnification. Slowly turn the Focus Knob on the side of the spotting scope body until the image in the eyepiece becomes clear. You may need to make adjustments to the focus as you zoom in on an object.
