Basics Checking notifications Notification icons on the status bar report the arrival of new messages, calendar events, alarms set and ongoing settings such as when call forwarding is on or the current call status. You can open the Notifications panel to open the message, reminder, or event notification and see the mobile operator name.

Most SIM cards are preset with a PIN (personal identification number) that is provided by your mobile operator. When prompted, enter the preset PIN, then tap Enter. If you enter the wrong PIN three times, the SIM card is blocked.

Removing an account does not delete information from the online service itself. You cannot remove some accounts, such the first Google Account you signed into on the phone, except by deleting all personal information from your phone with a hard reset.

Sync to synchronize your Outlook contacts and calendar or your Outlook Express contacts with your phone. Before you do a factory reset or a software (ROM) upgrade of your phone, you can also use HTC Sync to back up and sync these information from your phone back to your computer.

Before you begin setting up synchronization, make sure you have set up HTC Sync to recognize your phone.
