    Installation Important! Install the drivers BEFORE connecting the camera to your Mac. Insert the driver CD, the installation application will automatically launch. Click the installation application, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the MiniCam driver software. When the installation software has installed, connect the MiniCam to a USB port on your Mac. The WebCam Monitor icon will be placed on your desktop, click on it to launch the application.

    Configuration About WebCam Monitor WebCam Monitor is a Mac OS X application that can preview and record video from your USB MiniCam. Monitor Window Once the application has launched, you will see a monitor window. The window will display the output from the MiniCam.

    Configuration Setting up the microphone Open System Preferences from the Apple menu, choose Sound and select Input. Ensure that USB Camera is the selected device for sound input. You can adjust the input level using this slider.

    Configuration Video Settings There are four panels in the video window: Adjustments, Compression, SN9C102p (i.e. name of your webcam), and Source. Adjustments Panel Use these sliders to adjust the various different parameters. Use this button to restore the above settings back to default.

    Configuration Sound Settings From the Monitor menu, select Sound Settings... to adjust various sound parameters including the Sample and Compression settings. Ensure that USB Camera is selected as the source device. You adjust the microphone input and volume levels here. Also you can turn the speaker on or off.
  • Page 14 Recording & Capture Recording a Capture File There are two options for the record function: Record Without Hogging Machine and Record until Mouse Click. The captured file can be accessed from the location you select in the steps below. Double click the file to launch Quicktime and view the captured video.
