4. Text entry
The input methods described in this section may not be
applicable to the third-party applications, for example,
BREW applications.
You can use traditional text input
or the predictive
text input
to enter test. In both text input, ABC, abc,
and Abc mode are available.
To switch between ABC, abc, and Abc mode, press #.
Press and hold #, and you can choose from the following
options:
• Number mode — Switch to 123 mode.
• Prediction on or Prediction off — Turn on or off the
predictive text input.
• Writing language — Change writing language.
To set the Prediction type, select Options > Prediction
options > Prediction type > Normal or Word suggestions.
Not all languages are supported by the predictive text
input.
