Programming Programming Programming Locations and SAME Codes Your radio is pre-programmed with seven weather broadcast frequencies (channels 1-7). When you use the radio for the first time, it automatically scans for the strongest channel and receives all SAME alert signals broadcast within a radius of up to 50-mile (80-km).
