Congratulations on the purchase of the Outlaw Audio Model BTR-100
Bluetooth Receiver with AptX®. After connecting this device to a
receiver or preamp/processor, you can stream content from any
Bluetooth enabled device, including an iPhone, iPad or Android
smartphone to your system.

In this document, we will walk you through the installation of the
Model BTR-100 and explain the steps required to pair your Bluetooth
device to your audio/video system. Before we begin, please review the
contents of the box. In addition to this owner's manual, you should
find the following items:

Setup and Connections
Before you connect the Model BTR-100 Bluetooth Receiver to your A/V
receiver or preamp/processor, please take a moment to learn how the
different lights, buttons, and connections work.

To connect the Model BTR-100 Bluetooth Receiver to a
receiver or preamp/processor:
1.
Connect the 3.5mm end of the supplied audio cable to the
Audio Out jack of the BTR-100.
If your home audio system has RCA input jacks, use the 3.5mm – RCA
audio cable. Alternatively, use the 3.5mm – 3.5mm audio cable if your
audio device has a 3.5mm input jack.
2.
Connect the other end of the audio cable to the audio input
jack(s) of your receiver or preamp/processor.
Consult the owner's manual of your receiver or preamp/processor for
more information about connecting a source device.
3.
Connect the Micro-USB end of the cable to the 5V DC/0.5A port
of the BTR-100 and the USB A end to the AC Power Adapter.
4.
Plug the AC Power Adapter into an AC wall outlet.
The blue LED light will blink quickly indicating the unit is powered on.

To pair a mobile device such as an iPhone or Android
smartphone to the Model BTR-100 Bluetooth Receiver:
1.
Press the pairing button on the back of the Model BTR-100.
The blue LED light will flash on and off.
2.
Turn on the Bluetooth function of your mobile device.
Consult the owner's manual of your mobile device if you are unfamiliar
with enabling its Bluetooth function.
3.
Search for "BT-Audio" and select "Pair."
If pairing is successful, the blue LED light will stay on. Your Model BTR-100
is now ready to play music from your mobile device via bluetooth.
Near Field Communication (NFC) Pairing

With Near Field Communication (NFC), you can easily pair and connect
the Model BTR-100 Bluetooth Receiver to your compatible device.

To pair your Bluetooth device to the Model BTR-100
using NFC Pairing:
1.
Activate the NFC function of your device.
Consult the owner's manual of your device if you are unfamiliar with
enabling and using its NFC function.
AUDIO OUT
PAIR 5V DC/0.5A
The USB connection is for power only and is not for use as an
audio connection.
Once paired, the unit will automatically reconnect if the paired device is
turned off or goes out of range.
If pairing is not successful, the blue LED light will continue to flash on
and off and the BTR-100 will stay in pairing mode. Consult the owner's
manual of your mobile device and make sure its Bluetooth function is
working before attempting to pair it with the BTR-100 again.
To turn off pairing mode, press the pairing button on the back of the
BTR-100 again. The blue LED light will stop flashing.
4.
To pair another mobile device to the Model BTR-100 Bluetooth
Receiver, repeat steps 1-3.

Touch the NFC pairing area of the Bluetooth Receiver with the
NFC area of your device.
The Model BTR-100 will connect to your device automatically.
If your Bluetooth device does not support NFC or NFC Bluetooth pairing,
follow the steps in "Pairing a Device to the Model BTR-100" above to
pair the devices manually.
Some Android 4.0 devices may need to download the "Tap-and-Pair" app
from the Play Store in order to use the NFC Bluetooth pairing function.
