This manual is designed to help you get the most out of your L2 audio IM/IMP speaker enclosure.
The IM range refers to passive or un powered speakers. These will need an external amplification
source. The IMP range refers to active or powered speakers. These speakers have built in
amplifiers so only require a signal source. There are 4 models in each range, 8",10", 12" and 15".
All models feature 2 way speaker configurations, a LF (low frequency) woofer and a HF (high
frequency) tweeter or compression driver. The woofer has been carefully selected for optimum
performance and has an aluminium chassis. The HF is a titanium diaphragm and a light mass
voice coil, enabling it to reach frequencies as high as 18KHz. There is a quality crossover unit built
in that separates the high and low frequencies. All models are made of the same high impact
injection moulded polymer and can be used for FOH (front of house) PA applications, installation
or as stage monitors.
1.
INPUT on the IM8H is via ¼" jack or binding posts. Input on the IM10, IM12 and IM15 is via
speakon® input . The speakon® has a parallel input and output. These inputs receive the
powered signal from an external power amplifier or powered mixer.
